According to one of the most important analysts specialized in Apple, the company prepares an iPhone with a screen that folds for the year 2023
Many things can happen in two years, but with a bit of luck, by 2023 we no longer have to carry masks on the street and we may even carry the first generation of folding iPhones in our pockets.
Whoever leaks this information is perhaps the most important source of rumors about the Apple world that exists, the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who year after year has revealed what news each new iPhone would bring with a totally absurd success rate: he always has the reason.
According to Kuo, the first iPhone with a screen that folds in on itself would hit stores by the end of 2023 if Apple’s plans are not truncated. It would have a size of between 7 and 8 inches with its fully extended screen, figures normally more typical of the iPad Mini than the iPhone.
At the moment, what Apple is preparing are the first models and concepts on the new foldable iPhone, so it is not clear what format it would have exactly or its exact features. Some of these concepts and ideas have already been embodied in patents, in fact.
What seems clear is that Apple will integrate Samsung screens, as they have recently closed an agreement to obtain this type of panel.
And how much can a foldable iPhone cost? Judging by the price of other mobile phones with a flexible screen, it is very possible that an iPhone of this type would cost more than 2,000 euros.
