Rosalía’s great ridicule: she claims to have a “new favorite instrument” and plays it backwards

She is the singer of the moment and everything she touches turns to gold. Now, Rosalía has confessed on her social networks her new favorite instrument. The Catalan artist has published a video on her TikTok social network in which she appears playing the kazoo.

“My new favorite instrument”, comments Rosalía in the video. In a matter of hours, the post has gone viral. Not because of the musical resource of the flamenco singer, who tries new genres and styles of music wherever she goes, but because of playing it backwards.

In this way, comments on social networks have been viralized criticizing the use of this kazoo, also known as a cane whistle or cane whistle, for not even being interested in its correct use.

The invention of the kazoo is attributed to a 19th century American musician, although it is not documented. In Spain, the cane whistle has been used in the Cádiz Carnival and the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival and has been used over the years by artists such as Kiko Veneno or Los Delinqüentes. Rosalía has also dared with him, but the other way around.
